Typically, outside of normal muscle strain, if you\u2019re in pain while running, you are probably doing it wrong.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo many people go out and try to run, but they don\u2019t have good form and they don\u2019t have the proper shoe, so they come back saying, \u2018oh, that hurt!\u2019 And then they don\u2019t want to do it again,\u201d says Laura Chance, owner of TriCycle and Run in St. Michaels. \u201cOur instinct is to not do things that are painful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But how do you know if it\u2019s something the right shoe can fix?
