We wanted to inform you about a change to our Malpractice Insurance member benefit.

We are moving from Beazley Insurance to Special Risk Insurance Managers (SRIM) underwritten by Lloyds of London. This is basically at the same cost plus $100.00 for administration/MGA.  This is essentially the same policy coverage.

We were notified by A J Gallagher (AJG) on January 13, 2023, that Beazley would no longer be offering this insurance on a group basis.

Since then, with the support of the Executive Board and the Insurance Committee (Chaired by Dr. Michael Choi (BC)), we have been working with AJG. We have looked at a number of markets (options). After considerable deliberation and due diligence, it was determined that SRIM is our best option.

We have done our due diligence. This would take effect this month (April 2023).

The application process remains the same. There are no changes from previous years within the application. AJ Gallagher will be pre-filling the applications for everyone where they are able to with the high-level details that typically take additional time so that should help the membership with working through it again this year.

CPMA membership will be verified.
This program is available to CPMA members only.  AJ Gallagher will not provide coverage to non-members.
